DSE are running a competition open to all students at the school to design the front cover of our show programme, this year the show is based around 'Le Grand Cirque.'
It is going to be remarkably difficult for me to judge the designs so my extremely talented brother George who is a stop motion animator will be judging the competition, the closing date is Wednesday 1st June.
All proceeds from the programme will go to Wildlife SOS India, Wildlife SOS India are responsible for taking action against animal cruelty, rescuing wildlife in distress, working to resolve man-animal conflicts while promoting and educating the public about the need for habitat protection. Wildlife SOS India have rescued 21 elephants from illegal captivity and circuses, they recently rescued Rhea a circus elephant who has spent 53 years in captivity.
As much as we all adore the circus wild animals should not be a part of them.

Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th April, 10am-1pm come along to 'Annie' the two day musical theatre workshop, designed for children aged 5+ years and above. The students will work towards a final piece that will be performed in our summer show on July 10th.
The Workshop will be run by west end performer Cleopatra Joseph, Cleopatra has ample experience working in musical theatre and is the founder and director of reality management, some of her credits include: Avenue Q National tour 2015, backing singer for Leona Lewis on ITVs The X factor, vocalist for Jimmy Ray and The scratch reggae opera at Her majesty's Theatre. Cleopatra joined first family entertainment in the role of Diva in 'Peter Pan' at The New Victoria, played the part of Roma in the Olivier award nominated Musical 'Soul sister' National Tour and was a Dynamite in the highly successful Paul kerryson and lee Proud 2014 version of 'Hairspray' at Leicester curve. She was cast as lead Female in Flying Music's Motown tribute show 'Dancing in the streets' Her latest T.V Commercial for Cash Lady as lead 'Cashette' was a great vocal feature.
